Wolfpack Drop Tight Game to Thunder
The Novice Wolfpack dropped a tight 3-2 game to the league leading Caledonia Thunder on Wednesday night.  In a back and forth game played with great speed, the Wolfpack and Thunder went toe to toe.

The Thunder opened the scoring three minutes into the first period off a blast from Caledonia's #12 (who has tallied 8 goals against the Wolfpack this year).  Paris held everyone in check for the next seven minutes while battling the Thunder over every inch of the ice.  In the final minute of the first, Josh created some pressure deep in the Thunder zone and chipped the puck free behind the net.  Andrew quickly picked up the puck and was able to sneak the puck in between the goalies skate and post to tie the game at one.

In the second period, Paris took advantage of a power play to grab a 2-1 lead.  Josh found some open space off a face-off and fired a shot past the Thunder goalie.  Paris finished the period strong and carried a 2-1 lead into the 3rd period.  In the 3rd, the Wolfpack did a great job of keeping the high powered Thunder bottled up.  Unfortunately, a tough play at the Thunder blueline line created some space for Caledonia's top scorer and he tied the game with 8 minutes to play.  With a minute to play, the puck took a bad bounce from behind the Wolfpack net and found its way to a Thunder player to give Caledonia a 3-2 lead.  Paris kept battling to the final buzzer but was unable to find the tying goal.

Another great game was played by the four horsemen on defense (Jared, Evan, Cam and Drew).  Carson K made some nice saves when the defensive front broke down.

Up next is a home date with Tavistock on Thursday night.
