Wolfpack Down Titans to Improve to 2 & 2
The Paris Novice Wolfpack returned to the ice on Thursday night looking to bounce back from a tough night in Caledonia.  The teams focus and energy level was much higher when they hit the ice for the start of the game.

Tavistock and the Wolfpack had a cautious start to the game with only one or two scoring chances over the opening five minutes.  Tavistock eventually broke the deadlock at the half way point of the first period.  The Wolfpack continued to battle and tied the game two minutes later when Carson V found the back of the net with the assist going to Ryker.  Tavistock regained the lead a minute later but Carson V quickly replied with his 2nd of the game to tie the game at two after 10 minutes.  Cam C picked of the assist on Carson's 2nd goal.

In the 2nd period, the Wolfpack slowly started to gain control of the game.  Using their speed to pressure the puck, Tyler R sent a pass up to Ryker who found the back of the net to give Paris a 3-2 lead.  Three minutes later while short handed, Andrew cleared the puck into the neutral zone that sent Josh in alone to give Paris a 4-2 lead after two periods.

In the third period, Paris took advantage while on the power play to score twice in 90 seconds to put the game out of reach.  Josh scored his second of the night with Andrew picking up his second assist.  Josh tallied his third of the game with an unassisted effort.  Tavistock cut the lead to 6-3 with three minutes to play keep things interesting.  In the final minute of play, Drew W made a strong play on the puck at the Wolfpack blueline that sent him away on a breakaway where he made no mistake scoring his first goal of the season.

Carson K was strong in goal, played big and made a number of good saves.

After taking a night off, the Hard Hat symbolizing the Wolfpack WOTG reappeared on Thursday.  The coaches would have liked to have had 11 to hand out  as each player played a strong game.  However, they finally selected Scott H, who played a strong positional two-way game from his left wing.  Scott's commitment to the defensive end was fantastic as he was always one of the first forwards back supporting the defense.

The Wolfpack has a couple of practices this weekend before hitting the ice for two games next week.  Tuesday night, they travel to Ayr to face the always tough Ayr Flames at 630pm.  Paris then returns home on Thursday night to play Tillsonburg, who have been flexing their muscle so far this season and are undefeated.
