Wolfpack vs Ingergsoll
The Novice Wolfpack opened their regular season with a trip down the 403/401 to face the always tough Ingersoll Express.

Knowing that they would be in for a tough game, the Wolfpack came out strong and had a great opening two minutes and took the lead on a goal by Carson V, who was sent in off the wing off a nice hard pass from Drew W.  The Express would not be held back and tied the game midway through the first when a redirected shot found an open Express player all alone at the side of the net.  Ingersoll would take a 2-1 lead before the end of the first period.

Ingersoll would go on to score three more goals, two on the power play, and carried a commanding 5-1 lead into the third period.  However, the trademark of the early season for this Wolfpack came out in the third period.  This bunch of kids do not quite or give up.  Paris kept battling and slowly chipped away at the Ingersoll lead.  Carson V tallied his second of the game at the ten minute mark to cut the lead to 5-2.  The kids kept working and eventually Carson V notched his third of the game at 5:21 of the third with assists going to Ryker H and Scott H.  With the score sitting at 5-3, the Wolfpack rolled the dice and pulled their goalie for the extra attacker.  Unfortunately, a tough bounce at the blueline sent an Express player in all alone on the open goal for a 6-3 lead.  Unfazed, the Wolfpack pulled their goalie again as they maintained pressure in the Ingersoll zone.  Andrew G was 'johnny on the spot' as he was able to pick up loose puck and slide it home with :33 seconds remaining to make the score 6-4.  Ryker picked up his second assist of the night and Carson V picked up the other assist to complete a four point night.

Ryker H was awarded the Wolfpack WOTG award for his strong play in both ends of the ice.  Both Ryker and Josh created some great scoring chances but were shut down by a great Ingersoll goalie.  All the players showed great character by battling back after falling behind in the second period.

Up next for the Wolfpack is a visit from the Simcoe Warriors on Thursday night @ 6pm.  Come on out and support your Wolfpack hockey.
