Great finish to an awesome year
From the desk of GM Stewy:
The final two games of the year were played Thursday and Saturday against the two teams that previously beat the Tyke Wolfpackers earlier in the year. Port Dover and Beverly both had very strong teams but as a good team does it gets better as the year rolls on and that is exactly what the wolpack boys did...with spread out scoring and solid defence and amazing goal-tending Paris rose to the occasion and won their last two games of the year...3-2 and 4-3 to put their record at 21 wins 5 loses and a tie...
for an .807 winning percentage, The BEST in PMHA...but winning is not everything. These boys enjoyed a fun filled first year in hockey with help from parents and sponsors as they got to:
- Be in the Santa Claus parade
- Visit to the fire hall
- Road hockey games
- Names on the backs of their sweaters
- Paris Wolfpack hoodies
- First hockey game trophies
- Team jackets
- A Hamilton Bulldog game and
- Two free tournaments that the did very well in and had a blast swimming, playing mini sticks and tubing in Collingwood.
As GM and a father of one of the players I personally would like to thank the coaching staff for the outstanding coaching/teaching and the time/effort they all put in:
- Rob (The Rock) Darling
- Stan (Frankie) Atkinson
- Kirk (I'm in training) Mackenzie and last but not least
- Mike (Mr. Everything) Sinclair
Proof is in the pudding and here are some of the parents thoughts:
- "You know there is passion for the game and not just the win when the coaches are always smiling and praising the children for their individual and team accomplishments"
- "As a team you have made this season so fun and engaging my sons confidence and skill have come so far from last year"
- "The coaches always had the kids best interest first and helped all the kids succeed in the ability to play the game"
- "Not only taught them the game of hockey but did an incredible job handling the players emotions and different personalities"
I would also like to thank the parents for a great year, it is going to be a lot of fun in the next ten years with this group. I would also like to thank the players who worked so hard and tried their best every practice and game. THANK YOU ALL!!! Now over to coach Rob for the last word...

To the players:
It has been a great season! It is amazing to see how your individual skills and team play have progressed this season! Every practice and game was sooo much fun because you all brought your smiles, stories and personalities to the rink. We would be lucky to coach such a great team again in our "coaching careers".
To the parents:
Thank you all for the great year and support! I look forward to many more fun times ahead with you all.
To the coaching team:
What can I say... You are all fantastic! We pulled together as a team and became a fine-tuned machine. You can tell a team is comfortable with each other when there is fun banter. It is safe to say there was a little bit of that... :-)
To the extended coaching team:
A big thanks to Tyler Pelton and Paul Dalpe for the help in power skating, practice drills and "coaching of the coaches".
