Paris Secures First Place With Character Win!!
The Peewee AE's locked up first place Thursday night with a 3-1 victory.
Paris played its last round robin game for the Southern Counties Playoffs and won 3-1. This would secure them first place overall out of seven teams. Paris proved that no matter who is missing or who is out on the ice, they are one of the best top to bottom teams out there. Hard team work ethic and team work have been key to their success all year.
Paris and Plattsville would battle through two periods Thursday night with Paris down one heading into the third. Although Paris had carried the play for the entire time, they found themselves down after a Plattsville powerplay goal.
Connor K would tie things up on a lone rush and make things 1-1. Paris would continue to carry the play and Owen M would score a beauty on a feed from Eric M. Owen M would add another to make it 3-1 on yet another feed from Eric M. The two seemed to have good chemistry all night which helped lead the team to victory.
Paris will now play in the semi-finals which they will host. The time and date are yet to be determined. The peewee AE team has secured an exhibition game this coming Thursday night to keep them in game shape. There is no doubt that if this team continues to battle and come to play, there's a good chance they could become Southern Counties Champs! Keep working hard and be proud of the team you have become.
