Gretzky Tourney
Firstly Happy New Year everyone! I wish for all a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. This past week saw thr Pee Wee Rep team play in the annual Wayne Gretzky Tournament. The boys ended up at two wins and two losses missing advancing to the semis by one point.
Myself and the coaching staff are very proud of how the boys played and in one word they played with Heart! To win two games against MD major Pee Wee's was a big accomplishment and a great way to move forward heading into the playoffs. Highlights of the tournament included a bonecrushing check (accidental of coarse) by Hoss Zavitz that left the opposing player still searching for his mouthgard. Gavin the roadrunner Fowler notched his first of the tournament by pouncing on a rebound and jamming the puck home. Players of the game were very hard to pick as the whole team deserved this prestigous award.
I look very forward to the play downs now with the team confident and firing on all cylinders. We are seeded in the B division so competition will be stiff but the coaching staff will be prepared for a hard run at the southern counties championship. In closing I would sincerely like to thank the coaches Mild Matt Plumstead. Wild Weiner Byrne and Swear Jar Bill Zavitz for all their hard work and dedication to develope these players to the best of their ability. Thanks Guys !
