The Novice Rep Wolfpack ran into a strong Simcoe Warriors team in the Quarter-final round of the OMHA play-offs. Simcoe had run the table during the Southern Counties Regular Season and followed that up with an impressive display of hockey against the Wolfpack.
Paris played a strong opening period in game 1 and found themselves trailing 1-0. However, Simcoe found another gear in the 2nd period and the game quickly got away from the Wolfpack.
In game 2, the Wolfpack hosted the Warriors and played a solid 40 minutes. They competed hard and worked on attacking the puck in all areas of the ice. While Paris dropped game 2 by a 6-1 score, the players showed some strong character in the way they competed after game 1 of the series.
In game 3, Paris travelled back to Simcoe. The Warriors were looking to close out the series and jumped on the Wolfpack by scoring four times in the first 5 minutes of the game. To the players credit, the Wolfpack continued to battle hard and was able to cut the lead to 4-2 by the end of the first period. Unfortunately, the Wolfpack would not get any closer and Simcoe went on take the series 3 games to 0.
The Novice Rep Wolfpack will now return to their Southern Counties play-off as they battle to finish in the top 4 and qualify for the finals weekend.
